Handmade Folk Hearthling
Some things are made with a specific plan.
Some things emerge from the materials waiting on the shelf.
These Folk Hearthlings are knit in small batches from yarn already living in the studio.
Some skeins were purchased years ago. Some arrived as partial cakes. Some came from unfinished projects waiting for a second life. Rather than forcing every Hearthling into identical colors and patterns, we allow each one to emerge from the materials at hand, creating a gathering where no two are exactly alike.
Each Hearthling is hand-finished and assembled in Kentucky.
Their shape is intentionally simple.
Not sculpted for realism. Not designed to imitate factory perfection.
They follow an older tradition of handmade comfort objects, the sort of small companion that might quietly occupy a bookshelf, side table, sewing room, reading nook, or sunny windowsill.
The variations are part of each one’s story.
Colors shift unexpectedly. Flecks appear where the yarn allows. Small differences from Hearthling to Hearthling are not flaws, but evidence of the hands and materials that made them.
Every Hearthling is one of a kind.
